Spritz Christmas Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 18 drps Sweetzfree
- 1 large egg
- ½ tsp almond extract or vanilla extract
- Food coloring (optional: red and green)
- Assorted Christmas cookie cutters
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- In a large bowl (or stand mixer with a paddle attachment), cream the butter and Sweetzfree on medium-high speed until well blended.
- Add the egg and extract; continue mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into three bowls. Tint two portions with red and green food coloring, if desired.
- Roll each portion into 3-inch balls. Place on parchment paper, flatten slightly, and use cookie cutters to create holiday shapes.
- Freeze shaped cookies for 15 minutes.
- Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 13–15 minutes or until just set.
- Cool and enjoy!
